St. Mary & Joseph Parish, Mariamabad, joyfully celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph with deep devotion and spiritual fervor. The celebration took place at the National Marian Shrine, Mariamabad.
Fr. Tariq George, Rector of the National Marian Shrine Mariamabad, along with Deacon Fasial Shumoon, participated in the Mass. Fr. Tariq George served as the main celebrant and delivered an inspiring homily. In his address, he highlighted the exemplary virtues of St. Joseph, including silence, obedience, humility, hard work, and unwavering trust in God. He urged the faithful to imitate St. Joseph by leading lives rooted in faith, responsibility, and selfless service to the Holy Family and the Church.
As part of the festivities, the National Marian Shrine organised the “Risen Jesus Christ Choir Competition” on the shrine grounds. Choirs and solo singers from various parishes and nearby villages enthusiastically participated. They presented uplifting hymns proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus Christ, filling the atmosphere with praise, joy, and spiritual unity.
The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Fr. Tariq George awarded prizes to the winning choirs and solo singers. He appreciated all the participants for dedicating their musical talents to the glory of God and encouraged them to continue using their gifts in the service of the Church through music and worship.
The event successfully brought together prayer, sacred music, and community spirit, creating a memorable celebration that honored both St. Joseph and the Risen Lord.
